Tires are crucial to your car's performance. Not only that, but tires that are improperly inflated or with too much wear or tear can be dangerous to drive. Getting a flat while you're driving can cause you to lose control and end up resulting in a serious accident, injuring yourself or others.

One major sign your tire needs replaced if it's consistently losing air. Is your tire pressure monitor on your dashboard always on? Does one tire always seem lower than others? It may have a leak or even a hole.

If it has gone completely flat, your car will make a thumping noise or pull to one side. Use caution and exit the road as quickly and safely as possible. Another sign your tires need replaced is when it starts losing its tread. Adequate tread is necessary to drive on rocky or slick terrains. Once it's become compromised, the next step is replacement.
